Lydia Bill was born on July 7, 1753 in Norwich, Connecticut. She was the daughter of Ephraim Bill ad Lydia Huntington. Lydia married Joseph Howland on May 26, 1772 in Boston, Massachusetts. Joseph was the great great grandparent of F.D. Roosevelt. Lydia worked this silkwork picture between 1775 and 1779 after she married Joseph. Lydia died on May 1, 1838 in New York City, New York.
